 FACT: after the war the U.S. government held a pair of Adolph Hitler's pants in an army vault for years in an attempt to prevent their symbolic worship. As the story goes.., some time later, Army officials poured gas over the captive pair of Hitler's pants.., they lit a match and burned the pants roadside next to an unnamed U.S. Army
base in northern Germany. Many years after that those very pants..,
reportedly.., surfaced in Brazil
and then, mysteriously, they made their way to Mexico. They were eventually purchased on e-bay for use in a stage play about Hitler's
gay love affair with Ernst Rohm. At that time the play was scheduled for
performance in North Hollywood, CA, however, it was never performed due to
an unexpected tragedy surrounding the wearing and use of Hitler's Pants by the lead actor cast to perform the role of Adolph.
This film presents the story behind the story of the making of the play.., sort of... Perhaps, it would be better described as presenting the story behind the story of the death of the Play. Regardless... As the video camera crew follows the lead actor through his daily life dressed in the pair of Hitler's pants, reality shifts into a rather curious display of what may happen to any of us when we are not careful with whom we might offend. Wearing Hitler's Pants is a wicked satire that mocks "reality style shows" that are willing to create chaos through absurd behavior with the sole purpose of gaining attention (and, of course, ratings) for their show/shows.
